Which has happened....Craigs list being bought, or ad's in the crapper? What has the world come to when you can't even get the most personal of personal moments to yourself.

The original point of Craigs list was to be a community bulletin board where there are no fees, nor guidelines (providing you weren't offering anything elicit). The concept is fantastic, and has worked for several years. But like everything else in this country, it becomes perverted by those only wanting to prey on the ineptitute of others and make a quick buck. It is only a matter of time until they are bought out by Amazon or some other massive conglomerate who can use advertising banners across the top of ads to bombard people with suggestive product placement.
I'm waiting for when there will be flashy advertising on the back of public bathroom stall doors....then absolutely NOTHING will be sacred.

Art,
You need to realize that Craig's List is meant to be local. eBay is international. 4 small pics on Craig's, on eBay as many and as large as you want if you host the pictures yourself. ie this ad vs Chuck's CSL. You are supposed to go look at the Craig's List stuff in person.

Subject: [BMWCSRegistry] 67 coupe for sale

We are always interested when a Coupe comes on the market.
Perhaps it is my computer, but when $20K is asked and there is but one photo and no details whatsoever, I am quite puzzled. Does the seller want to sell this vehicle or not?

Actually, the more I hear about Craigs List and eBay regarding cars in general, BMW's specifically and most especially Coupes, the less inclined I am to want to deal with them.
Perhaps others have had good experiences. I try to keep an open mind on things.
