I would recommend the ctek charger for keeping your batteries fresh. It is a Swedish unit that bills itself as the "world's smartest" battery charger. I really don't know what the hell that means but it works very well, is very simple to use and is pre-programmed for various applications including gel and optima batteries. I use it on my motorcycles over the winter and it has extended those batteries tenfold. It can be used to quick start and it has an accessory I really like - you can charge through a live-wired cigarette lighter outlet (really handy for hidden batteries). I have the Multi US 3300 model. It's very small and sleek, built like a truck and expensive! ctek.com
A Very Happy & Merry to all and yours,
Chester
