Minor correction (I use it, too) it's called "Battery Tender Plus" It's made (in China) for Deltran and it works very well. 

In fact it's the same one BMW sells under their name, so if you want one with the BMW logo you can get it at your dealer -- probably at a premium over the Deltran model price!

  I favor the Battery Minder as it conditions the battery as well as maintains charge.
  I have several of them for various cars, boats, mowers, generators... whatever has an electric starter on an engine that I don't exercise too often ( or store seasonally)
