This was reported in the press last year and, except for their 
unknown final words, is considered to be true:

Two NJ cops drove off an open drawbridge into the Hackensack River.
They had just finished setting flares in the fog to warn traffic that 
the bridge flashing lights were not functional.
One must imagine that their final words were "Oh shit!" and "Yee hah!".
