[BMWCSRegistry] Boge shocks & I Be Back

Yes, I've returned from Auburn and South Bend, IN. A short report of
adventures follows later today.
But:

I have heard no complaints about KYB shocks. They are inexpensive but
"cheap" as a pejorative is unfamiliar to me. Low cost - relatively,
yes.
Bilstein is a fine shock but not nearly commensurate with their
outrageous cost unless, perhaps you intend to do a lot of racing with
a Coupe (a very BAD idea without many, many modifications - better
spent on a nice M3 E36.)

Bilstein has also been notoriously bad in making good on their much
advertised warranty.
I've had a few of these yellow beauties sitting in my garage for
several years because they didn't want to know me when I claimed
replacement.
Yes, they do give up but, like Rolls-Royce, "NOTHING ever fails on a
Rolls, Sir!"
(Refers to an old tale I'll repeat on request.)

I went for Boge which are just fine since Ilse is retired from track
driver school and only does autocrosse now and then to keep her old
bones fit.
