[BMWCSRegistry] Honey, look what I found.....

On things of modification and M5, I recently was lucky to win a set of M5
throttle bodies (Yep - 6 of them - a picture to behold) that I am hoping to
modify for either my E9 or M635. The flanges are different so there will be
a need for some cutting and fabricating but I think it would be a good
project.
Has anyone done this before?
David.

If you see the car in person it is a beauty, very well built and very clean.
Some of you guys need to understand that not all coupes are going to be kept
as they come out of the factory, some of us like to improve the performance
& handling. So get over it , I have seen the car met the owner both are
very nice.

Fine so far PJ but " So get over it" sounds a bit grouchy. Get over what?
Personally I think there are surely some things that need modification since
my Coupe was cranked out of Munich 34 years ago and I have attended to some
of them as possible.
But major mods as some have done and some want - bravo and I look forward to
seeing them one day - but way out of my ballpark.

Different strokes, my friend. I and a lot of others like what we have and
do not lust for the (in our opinion) silly or excessive upgrades and big
time modifications - most of which are available at far less cost and
aggravation in newer vehicles if one must have them

BUT, of course, they do not look like E9's - they look like offspring of
Chris Bangle, sometimes mated with a Japanese car or two- so I fully
understand. I buy one or two lottery tickets a month and in the event I win
a really big one and am tempted to blow it on very substantial upgrades such
as a 5 (6?) speed, AWD, ABS, etc. which otherwise defy my logic system.
Please keep us posted.
Happy Holiday,
Art
