Jim,

Try http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do to do your VIN search.

There is also a website re colour and years but the URL escapes me.

First, was Anthractite Metallic a correct color in 1973?
Next, who has the e-mail of the BMW archives so I can check the VIN of a
Coupe?
Many thanks, Jim Schrager

Kahmayas, that's how my son pronounces it when interviewing for a job.
Being Hispanic opens many doors.. ;^)

For years, when ordering pizza over the phone my name was "Nick Wilson".
Was easier for the guy on the other end to understand.

Shoot. That's how I always assumed it was pronounced. I was hoping for
something more like "Kah-may-ahs" ;-)

Tony (whose family name -- Sims -- couldn't be much simpler, yet everyone
wants to spot me an extra "m" or withhold the last "s")

That is CH as in Che Guevarra, each "a" is pronounced "AH" and the "ll" is

Actually since you brought it up, I have been wondering:

Is the "ch" as in" Che Guevarra"; or as in the Yiddish "chutzpah"
(low in the throat, not an "h" the way many people mangle "Chanukah";
or a sliding " sh" sound?

Is the "ll" as in the Spanish "y" sound?

Do you pronounce the final "s"?

Has Art started celebrating the holiday early? Yup but he will be
driven to the airport.

Art

Agreed
But can you properly pronounce his name after a few beers?
Some people even have trouble with mine until they remember it's
spelled and sounds similar to the low calibre brew they have been
drinking.

I have seen a couple of cars Don and his crew has done. Totally awesome!
If I was looking for a place to have a car restored, I would take it
to Don and his Werk Shop without hesitation. IMHO they are the BEST!
