[BMWCSRegistry] General input sought

Can't agree with you more Dan,
Had a Bavaria with an automatic, pulling the engine and attaching it
to a coupe did wonders. And don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind a
sunroof in my coupe, but with the rake of the A and C pillars and the
windows down I have so much openness I'm mighty happy. I loved crankin
open my old 2002 roof but that car didn't need it either. Rusted to
death, owned it 20 years still got a sticker when I sold it.
My 2002 cents.
Danimal-
Trying to get to Watkins Glen to follow Stan ( is there a most
unrealized potential coupe award?)

Of all the folks calling me looking for a coupe not one has asked for an
automatic, and in fact they all have specified four speeds or better.
Autos I have driven have felt like dogs compared to four speeds.
Sunroofs are an automatic ticket to rustville, since the drain tubes
empty INTO instead of thru the rockers. You will find far more rusty
coupes with than without sunroofs.

Kevin, about a year and a half ago I purchased a 73CSA that had been
hit at the front right fender. No major damage just a bent fender and
right grill.
The car had 17000 miles only and aside from the front fender it was
immaculate. It cost me delivered about 4K and was worth every penny.
I must say I lucked out.
