Bowman,
I am delighted to hear of your modification - BUT
If going to upgrade a Coupe - be damn certain your skill, brakes,
tires, drive train and suspension are up to increasing its power. I
find mine quite adequate although I suspect a slightly hotter cam was
slipped in before I bought her.
A Z something challenged me on the Interstate the other day. I waved
politely and wondered what that sneaker shaped roadster would look
like in 35 years.
The driver seemed about my age except I have all of my hair - he
didn't. The young blonde next to him was his niece, of course.
Never ever forget we are driving 3+ decades old technology and a car
without a B pillar support in the event of an event. Even the seat
belts may be a tad deficient in their effectiveness.
Some Coupes have been made ferocious but they were basically designed
as boulevard cruisers.
Their OEM strong suite is gorgeous after the 1970's unless real CSL's.
Enjoy but do take care. Each year we have fewer owners and fewer living Coupes.
