I recently did this! I sold 3 CSAs, 2 CSis, 3tiis,1 02 w/tii engine, 1 1600 highly modified, and a 10-year collection of parts to one guy. I bought a 72 CSL that I hope to pick up this week. It needs virtually nothing!!! I came to the realization that I was not going to complete all of these projects. I hope to enjoy driving the CSL and just have one major project to complete: my 70 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 convertible!

Wish I had the guts to do this!!

My head tells me to follow suit but my heart is like it's in another body!

  possible project cars for sale

  Toronto, Canada

here is the scene: been renovating my house for 3 years, had 2 kids in the last 5 years and 2 cars have been sitting in the yard beside my useless garage with no power and too much stuff stored in it to do any work on the cars for just over 3 years now

objects: non-moving 1972 BMW 3.0CSA (now a 5 speed) & 1972 BMW 2002 originally from California with a Metric Mechanic engine (burned out Petronix ignition system), the 5 speed unleashed all kinds of power when running

3.0CS comes with a brand new (still in wrapper, $930 Cdn) windshield OEM; a new carpet set (black) from World Upholstery ($350 USD), back seats in good shape but getting brittle; front floors replaced with flat sheet metal, pillars at front cabin corners where fenders meet the body have been rebuilt; hood latches gone and hood pins used; front end needs repair due to casual introduction to parents garage door by father.

front seats need to be completely re-done, will supply Ractive front seats if necessary, new only used once in Targa Newfoundland in 2004 (third in class!)
needs one mounting bracket for front sway bar and hole in front floor patched due to slipped axle stand that went through floor! that was a bad day

A/C removed, but will go with car (was not working anyway)
started re-wrapping dash panels in vinyl but not finished very well; started re-veneering wood panels in Birch, but after sitting in a basement for 2 years, they could use re-doing as bubbles in the veneer have started to show up

2 sets of wheels but no tires as the tires on the car are flat and the other set of wheels were repainted and have no tires (have curb rash but look okay)

now the '72 2002 (sunroof): has a Metric Mechanic engine from Missouri in it but smokes BADLY (was used for autocrossing for about 3 years and as a daily driver) put in a Pertronix ignition and then all hell broke loose; went for a track day at Mosport and the car has not run since as it smokes too much and my mechanic had said before I parked it that the ignition unit was burnt out; I know I should just try and put points in it and see what happens but I do not have the time and will not until next summer; has fiberglass fenders and a brand new nose section (from Walloth und Nesch, Germany) comes with it; 2 or 3 sets of wheels - has Mazda Miata wheels on it to look like Minilites and comes with at least one set of Turbines and 1 set of 320 wheels; also have Tii boxed trailing arms for the rear suspension and many Tii parts off my completely rotted out Tii that was stripped before being sent to a crusher

I have a Tii engine on an engine stand in the garage that had a rebuilt head (supposedly). I sent it to a BMW specialty shop north of TO with a brand new box of Metric Mechanic upgrade valve train parts and asked them; sorry paid them, to rebuild the engine, but given it still smoked on start up and the motor was as greasy when I picked it up as it was when I took it to them, I suspect I got ripped off; however, a tell tale sign that they had pulled the motor at least was evident when I tried to drive home - the motor was not bolted down anymore and almost spun inside the engine bay!

so as you can see, I have not had a great time with these cars in the last 5 years and think it is time to clean up my yard so the neighbours will stop complaining (corner lot in a very nice children friendly area) about bringing down the property values

well enough of my sob story and on with the offers
preference given to anyone who wants everything but will entertain one car or the other - WILL NOT PART THE CARS - if I had time to part them, then presumably I would have time to work on them

I hope to start all over once I get the garage torn down and replaced with a 2 car garage, but that will not realistically happen for about 5 years so I will stick to my '66 Volvo and 2001 Honda CRV until then and my R60/2 for the summer

some pics are available (2002) now and I will take some of the 3.0CS next week, but I am curious if any one out ther is interested in this heap first.

thanks for listening and take the offers off the digest so as not to offend anyone, thanks

  Robert
