Art,
The 2008 OFest is being held at Watkins Glen the 3rd week of Sept. I
understand that they are building a new hotel that it will be open by then. I plan
to be there in my 72 coupe'. Already started to prep (sick puppy I am).
Regarding this years OFest in Fort Worth - I wish it was 90F and 90%
humidity! We had strong sun and 100+ F. Even hotter in helmet and track wear. But
still fun. My tii took second in the full concours and is now officially
retired. My coupe was a display only car (only allowed one entry) and received
many nice comments. Knowing that you might attend the 2008 OFest will only
make me work harder on my coupe, even though I know your coupe is unbeatable.
Hope you can join and let's get the word out. An east coast OFest should
bring plenty of coupes out of the barns!

Who is going to the 2008 Octoberfest?
Which is where? TX did not tempt me and the Orlando folks tried real hard
and did well a few years back but not the place to be simmering in your own
juices in 90F + 90% humidity in August while detailing a car at midnight.
Bring back New Hampshire and Colorado and I might be tempted.
CA might be nice but a bit far for me. Too bad I can't put Ilse on an Amtrak
and haul ourselves out there in comfort.

Not impressed by celebrities looking at lumpy BMW sedans.
