Mike,
Now then, Watkins Glen sounds doable. When Ilse and I were a bit
younger we attended a couple of excellent Driver Schools there. It
is a nice day's drive for me. I'll be updating my Valentine to run
the gauntlet of the boring NY Thruway or perhaps choose the back way
which is a lot more fun.
Although I do hear the locals in NY are authorized to use RADAR and
such - adequate training and device testing or not.
"You in a heap o trouble, boy. 26 in a 25 zone is a hazard to us local folks."

Third week of September for O'fest? No problem for me but that's odd.
Does cut out a lot of people who have to be back on the job at the
Acme Nuts, Bolts, Widgets & Frozen Pizza factory or whose kids are
back in school.

Not to fear for competition, Having survived to later in life, I have
discarded the intense detailing frenzy and now just keep Ilse
mechanically maintained, clean and waxed. The only Q tips I use are
after a shower in my ears. She will be in Display Only Class so I can
join the partying while others spend the night searching to find dust
in their fuel door hinge which the judges will find anyway and leave
their obnoxious Q tips sticking in the Coupe's guts.
Besides, I've run out of room for trophies and even have a couple for
sale like the multiple copies of the mounted and framed large print
of BMW's we were awarded in Orlando. ($100 + shipping - photos on the
BMWCCA classified page). I'll keep the Parker Spooner Award copy we
won and of which I am especially proud.

Art - Happy Chanukah to All - too early for other important holidays.
