[BMWCSRegistry] Seat compatibility question

Why bother, I wonder?
Coupe OEM seats are really rather comfortable and look good. Maybe
for racing or driver school an upgrade might be called for (Recaro I
think they are called) but we must face the reality that E9's are
getting a tad long in the tooth for that sort of duty.
If seats are worn, then have them upholstered. A lot easier than
attempting to go through the grief and expense to fit some other
model's seats in.
Seen the newest (July) Roundel with the latest "CS" from the styling
genius Chris Bangle? Rather nasty looking nose end.
Bangle must have been inspired by the pugnacious front of Dodge trucks.
A 4 door Coupe - what an inspired, if contradictory, concept? No
price mentioned but if you need to ask then ...
With all the rolling lumps he has inspired, it is amazing that they
keep him on the payroll.
Just my opinion. I guess they do sell nicely but so do paintings
made of repeated soup cans or across which the artist has slid bare
assed naked before the paint dried.
Keep your Model 120's and E9's on the road. They will still attract
more attention than these megabuck things from Munich. Just be sure
to carry maps and learn what all the confusing buttons and switches
do - iDrive cannot be retrofitted.
