Olo olo. Pronunciation is like latin, oh low oh low. Commonly hyphenated
and pluralized English style to olo-olos, as in "I wen' whack the buggah
and karang my olo-olos. So, no more trip around the island tonight for me,
brah."
"Trip around the island" is what you do with a pretty hula dancer after
she's through dancing. If you get my drift.

This may well prove to be true. The challenge is to get the seller to push
it down to the dock for me.

I was advised that the area along the rocker panels typically goes bad and
causes significant structural damage. Mine have been repaired, well done,
and are not currently an issue. I may have some problems in front, but it
appears the motor leaked enough oil to prevent too much damage.

I wonder about Carl. Maybe he sees this as a business problem, and as a
restorationist (word?) he finds it necessary to defend himself against
rich, wild-eyed enthusiasts who demand a flawless restoration and sue him
at the first sign of a rust breakout. For me, what I enjoy most is taking
something old and messed up, but with special qualities, and making it
useful again. I am willing to spend (not invest) my time and money on this
endeavor in the same way that some people do gardens or pets or This Old House.

We used to put stripped but uncrushed cars into the ocean for fish
habitats, but environmental purists put a stop to that.

Because we have Sen. Dan Inouye, who always makes sure Hawaii receives more
federal dollars than we contribute. Interstate? It's not even Interisland.
But we are getting a drive-on ferry, so I'll be able to drive my cars on
Maui. Might not get the E9 done before they go belly up, though.
