Over the last 22 years, I have used KIWI Mink Oil with Lanolin and without Lanolin every other application on the leather, wood and the dash. During shows I get a lot of complements concerning how new they all look. Most people think I have replaced all these components.
Maybe during the next application I will use some Zymöl on leather doors to get that smell like Piña Colada. Currently I have some of the original Coupe smell but mixture of Piña Colada smell would be great also.
BY THE WAY - I purchase a red '96 318I convertible a couple of weeks ago. Anyone who wants to sell a red hardtop and a rear seat wind defector can contact me off lines.

Steve,I treat the wood with violin oil applied gently with fingers. Same stuff as Heifetz used on his Strad and that worked for a few hundred years.Does a nice job - does not produce that awful phony looking shiny wood so many BMW's and other cars have. But try to shield wood from the Sun especially in CA .Not to mention blasting of paint from wind blown sand and wildfire ash, and salt dust from that nearby thing called the Pacific. Here in the NE salt gets our metal - there in the West, sun gets the wood, paint and every interior fabric. Hence the myth of the "California Car" is not quite as advertised. You cannot escape - just anticipate and stay ahead.
I use Zymöl on leather - a tad overpriced - as most of their other stuff is - but it's pretty good and some smell like a Piña Colada. Unless one always drives like a really good citizen, you do not want slippery seats. Mine are Velour anyway.Art

And by the way, is it ok to use Lexol products on my leather? I shudder in advance thinking about what some of you may have to say about that product. Is there a consensus? We shall see. And if you want I will release the results for all to savor. Thanks, Steve ONeill 74 CSi PS I suggested a while back that we share our number one favorite car story. The result, resounding silence. I confess I have two number one favorites and am probably just angling for a way to get them out of my system. Confession is good for the soul
My favorite car story? Numerous years ago, when I drove like all those new Ferrari owners that keep wrecking their cars because they have no clue how to drive them, my cousin loaned me his gorgeous Alfa coupe.I entered a descending right turn on a two lane road a little too hot. Hit some gravel and did a 360.Ended up very, very slowly rolling into a ditch and hung upside down in the seat belts before realizing I was still alive and crawled out where the window was. Several guys were playing Poker in a farm house down the road and we flipped the Alfa back on its wheels. I then drove it 5 miles to home without a single piece of glass intact. Cousin has finally forgiven me and last year allowed I drive his turbo Miata through the Sangre de Christo mountains of NM. Too bad BMW can't or won't make such a great driving car at near its price.Art
