...and the unnecessary pain and suffering that they caused their Gulf Coast Customers after Katrina for the last 3 years, given all that they had experience is not customer friendly and living up to their Motto that: "You are in good hands with Allstate".
Up to six figures may not be viewed as impacting their bottom line and stock profit sharing but loosing the Katrina law suit might just be a difference story when you face the Bull.

Here's two for you:
While I was away on business a car of mine was involved in a pretty bad
crash, for which the driver was charged as being negligent.
It did $29,000.00 damage to my car, sent three people to the hospital and
totaled the other car.
My car was fixed (as damages were less than 1/3 the value of the car.) I had
a $500 deductible. It actually ran and handled as well as new afterward.
Allstate assumed control and responsibility of everything beyond the damage
to my vehicle and the injured driver on their own- although they did contact
me from time to time to let me know what was going on (a lawsuit was
mounted, pain & suffering, but they dealt with all of it.)
I never had a problem.
A 32,000 pound tree limb fell on my VW Camper crushing it to smithereens- as
flat as a pancake as can be.
No questions asked, they stroked a check for full replacement value- the
very next day.
Never had an increase in premium either.
Presently they are covering my house and some of my cars.
I have Haggerty on a few of the other cars, and Progressive for motorcycles.
I can say I'm happy with all three and it's been fine for decades.
