Two houses ago a small tornado (micro burst?) ripped the roofs off eight
houses in my neighborhood.
Mine got the least amount of damage; shingles gone, but sheeting still in
place. No structural damage.
Called Allstate the next morning (Monday.)
They said, ³Get it fixed and we¹ll pay you -less the deductible.²
Next call was to a roofer friend who sent over his best estimator, who
arrived a few hours later.
By the end of the week I had a new roof, less the $1,000.00, and their
check.

I¹m not in the insurance biz, not an agent, nor do I play one on television.
