[BMWCSRegistry] Collector Market

So why hasn't the E9 (CS, CSI) taken off with the collector market or even 
as a classic that appreciates?

They are rare, look good, perform well.  Have a race history.

I'm not talking about going thru the roof, like a Barracuda, but, at least 
keeping up with some of the other German and British makes.   I recently 
went to a RM Auction -- no BMWs of any type.  They just seem to be 
overlooked.

On another note, I saw a 1963 Corvair Concept car designed by Pininfarina. 
The story was the car was a one-off design by Pininfarina to explore 
importing the Corvair to Europe.  It looks very similar to the Coupe design, 
especially the rear quarter panel.   Seems like we can trace the E9 design 
to 1963.   I can send an individual picture.

First among my various reactions, and those of others, is that E9
Coupes are NOT items for investment.
That is hardly a piece of news to anyone who owns and loves these cars.
