> Hey to the List,
Thanks for the welcomes and warnings! I just purchase a 74 coupe out of Woodland Hills Ca. It was listed on Hemmings, probably
still is. It is in pretty good shape. It looks just like the one in the 25 most beautiful Cars article I am quite sure you all
have in your collection the interioir is dark blue leather. It is in great shape, but the dash which is cracked up and will need
replacing/capping. All the window switches work but are dryed out, cracking and need replacing. The body is very straight and
all there less the grill from the right fender which was ejected during a blow out on the 101 hwy just north of the Golden Gate
Bridge. (anyone have an extra?). The blow was a, as new, pirrelli 400 which really hurt my feelings. I need one of those as well.
Also needed is a Heyco tool set although I haven't looked through my junk, I might have a lot of them. (28 years in European auto
dismantling). The screw type knob from the tool kit lid is also gone. The body has a couple of light rust issues which I intend to
take with a down to bare metal repaint as soon as I return from Bimmerfest in May. Some jerk also keyed the car down the left side
before I got it. The trans was gone through 5k ago. The engine is tight and compression near perfect, it seems to use near a quart
of oil every 2-2.5k. The Suspension, bushing and mounts are all fresh. All and all I am very pleased......so far. I am also looking
for a set of 4 of the stock 5 spoke alloys and center caps for the car. Anyone have? Any comments, warnings, items that you may have
for me will be appreciated. I look forward to including myself. If I am eligible for a club grill badge please put me down for a
couple. I tend to lose everything.
Thanks, Michael
