Oh.....you misunderstand, or I mispoke. I do not own those exact wheels (not my listing), rather I own an open-lug set of 16" staggered alpina wheels and love them (original coupe wheels in storage for the next owner to decide which they like best).....I would be the last one on earth to part out a B7!!!

Jim,

I agree that old school Alpina's are getting very rare these days, I like the open face much better than the new Alpina's with the wheel cover. Walloth & Nesch sells a 16" Alpina wheel for 388 Euros minus the wheel cover which sells for another 81 Euro's. Go do the conversion rate plus and figure in shipping costs from Germany and you'll quickly be spending well over $2K for a set of 4 wheels. If you've got old school Alpina wheels, hang on them, they are hard to find these days.

The Craigslist ad says your were parting out an Alpina B7, the real questions is what happened to the Alpina engine and the rest of the B7 parts or are you storing those away for your next project?

Gordon

I own these wheels....they are lovely, and any kind of rubber imaginable is available in 225/50/r16....but his price is rather high, as a set in mint cond, with center caps (alpina, not BMW) are worth about this much.

This ad is in the SF Bay craigslist, (but the seller is in Sandy Eggo). Usual disclaimers apply

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pts/299702353.html The seller is Autobahn Salvage, a BMW/Porsche dismantler in El Cajon (San Diego suburb). http://www.autobahnparts.com/about.aspx?sm=18 At this price, I'll never bitch about paying $400 for a 73 Bavaria and driving it home complete with 14" Alpina's and a 3.3L and converted to EFI. An original So Cal blue plate car, I do miss that one but I've still got the Alpina's. The only thing I don't like about the 14" Alpina's is that no one makes a 225/60-14 tire anymore that is H rated. You have a much better tire selection in 16"
