[BMWCSRegistry] Doing a stupid (WOB )

How many times have you done something stupid that going-in you knew deep
down was gonna bite you ?? I had one of those yesterday .........

I'd bought a used chainsaw and was sitting on a truck toolbox -the kind that
gets bolted-in crosswise to a pickup bed -disassembling and cleaning it .
Where I was seated was in the shade of the garage roofline for quite a while
, but as time wore on the sun moved round and I started to cook . So quick
like a bunny (HAH !!) I switched around to the end closest to the garage
wall 'cuz I was nearly finished my cleaning so only needed a coupla minutes
to re-assemble .
Hah !! The aluminium toolbox is on a downhill slope towards the garage , I
have an old coffee tin with a cupful of dirty gasoline in it plus the top
tooltray full of sockets and screwdrivers etc from my hand-toolbox all on
top of it near the downhill end , so I shove them up a bit to make room for
my not-insubstantial buttend to have a landing site ..........can you see
this coming ?? ..I could , but I still did it !! DUH ....I lower my cheeks
onto the toolbox end ...at which point I am facing uphill with basically a
loaded and unstable toolbox staring at me .............and I am slightly off
balance .........and there is NO support under 'my' end of the toolbox
......and it starts to slowly but irrevocably tip me off backwards towards
the garage wall .......which, luckily for me is only a butt-width away from
the end of the toolbox or I'd have fractured my skull as well as my pride
... ...whereupon I am slid most ungraciously onto the floor .......still
upright and facing uphill ....and ALL the contents of the coffe-can PLUS all
the tools from my tooltray are dumped right into my lap with the toolbox
still slightly up in the air and my legs a-straddling it so that I can get
NO 'purchase' to push myself up out of the way ..........
Do you have ANY idea how much gasoline stings when it gets in your 'innie'
bellybutton and runs down your thigh on an 85F day ?? Or how LONG it takes a
fat 66 yr old to slowly extricate hisself from a rolling roiling mess of
sockets and screwdrivers without stabbing his fat arse ?? .and just how many
times you hafta shower just to get the smell off ??

DO NOT try this at home !! .............I still have an aroma of Chanel
Octane 87 behind me (lucky I dont smoke (that I know of anyway ))
.......some clothes that will never be the same .........and three dogs
waiting to see what dumb thing their Alpha Male leader will get up to today
.

Someone , PLEASE tell me what retirement is REALLY about ....

Beepee

PS ..I've got a nice clean Homelite 16" chainsaw for sale .......
