Don't poke the bear!!

Surely you speak of the asthmatic US spec car. My Euro Spec E36 M3 is
BRILLIANT. 3.2 litre - 6 speed and pre traction control.

Granted it is personal opinion and I have been known to have 'curious'
tastes!

David.

1995-1999 BMW M3 Yes these are lovely cars, and are now "classics", but
'cmon...following the e30 M3, this car was bloated, overly "gizmatic" way
too soft, and the fit and finish...well...sucked(the same crap-ass enviro
freindly adhesives as used in my e34 M5....bastards!!) After years of
lusting, I broke down, ready to buy one. I test drove 3 different cars, all
near mint condition, and was terribly disappointed. The interior felt
crampt, the trim felt cheap and plastic and the thing didn't wind up like or
feel nearly as tossible as the e30, in fact it was just a quick, good
looking car...that's it...how dissapointing!...I guess the e30 WILL always
be the "real M3".

So there is my 5...hope I didn't offend...

Hey, we all make mistakes and suffer lapses in taste and judgment - now
called senior moments. I would like to forget the day I fell in love with a
colleagues 1978 Chrysler Le Baron. Yes it had a lovely green vinyl roof and
no it did not have rich Corinthian Leather, whatever that was.

But when I almost rolled that sucker on a curve I would never have noticed
in my Coupe it was time to get rid of it. My son who has owned a Dodge
Datonya(sp) and Ram among a dozen or so rides, has never forgiven me.

I would like to see a list of the five or ten cars we have owned, sold and
grieved over. Mine might begin with a 1964 Chevrolet Impala two door hardtop
in a light green paint and interior.
