[BMWCSRegistry] Suspension Query

As I recall the e3/e9/e12 will share front suspension components but the rear of the e9 will be different from the e3/e12. Also if I am not mistaken switchover for the e12 vs. e28 based six series was in '82 to '83.
Good luck,
Barry

OK thanks - that does clarify something for me. This has all the M635 stuff (recarros etc - Note NOT M6 with twin cam) but I was never sure. Now I know.
It is definitely 635 on E12. Where are the similarities now?
Cheers David.

M635 chassis was never E12 based. Only early non M E24's.

Can anyone tell me the similarities of the suspensions between the E9 and E12 chassis.
I'm interested to know if shockers and springs are interchangeable on my 3.0 CS and my M635 (E12 chassis).
Thanks David.
