I also have a Crane on my 2800CS and it has worked well for me--unlike Petronix you have a separate box to deal with, but we were able to hide it in the space behind the right headlight.

I've also been wondering about Mike's identity!

Mike,

I've had only very good results from using a Petronix but also an Allison now Crane.

Some years ago a mechanic connected the latter backwards and it got fried. Allison replaced it by express shipping in under 24 hours even though it was not their fault.

Hey Mike. Are you the same Mike Valentine that makes the RADAR/LASER detection things?

Mine is some years old and needs upgrading but still has saved my precious butt many times from contributing to the State or local treasury in the bogus name of safety.

And in Cincinnati! - even though I spent one unpleasant year in that city back in the 60's, I still remember how to spell it.

Hi All,

?

What is the favorite way of eliminating points in the ignition distributor for E9s?

?

Is there anything but Pertronix available?

?

What would you recommend?

?

Thanks,

?

Mike in Cincinnati
