[BMWCSRegistry] Pertronix?

Is this the 
"Petronix electronic ignition kit" that is advertised at http://www.bimmerdoc.com/parts.php?part=12 
for $65?  It seems like a pretty simple install under the distributor cap.  Does it make a big difference in the performance of a CSI?
