I have a friend with one of these bellhousings from a Euro 635 that he is parting out. What is a fair price for this bellhousing?

He needs the bellhousing from a 1985 ONLY 535, 635 or 735 that came with a 5 speed. The Getrag 265s are the only 5 speeds for the big sixes that have removable bellhousings and the 85s are the only ones which have the mounts for the Motronic sensors. No automatics.

A friend is converting an E3 to an M30 3.5 Motronic configuration and finds himself in need of a compatible bell housing for this combonation:
- M30 3.5L, Motronic from a 1986 635csi
- Getrag 265 5-speed tranny
He says he needs an appropriate bell housing that has the applicable port for the sensor wires (to the flywheel?) in the Motronic system.
My question to the knowledgeable are:
1. What BMW models (model, year(s)) might be considered viable donors?
2. Manual trans cars only, or will auto trans bell housings also work?
Any advice, including where one might source a solution, will be appreciated.
TIA,
Gary Burke
