[BMWCSRegistry] Bell housing needed

I have one for $150. I also have the clutch slave cylinder and throw out
lever. If he needs the pedal cluster for stick shift, I have that too.

A friend is converting an E3 to an M30 3.5 Motronic configuration and finds
himself in need of a compatible bell housing for this combonation:
 
- M30 3.5L, Motronic from a 1986 635csi
- Getrag 265 5-speed tranny
 
He says he needs an appropriate bell housing that has the applicable port
for the sensor wires (to the flywheel?) in the Motronic system.
 
My question to the knowledgeable are:
 
1.  What BMW models (model, year(s)) might be considered viable donors?
2.  Manual trans cars only, or will auto trans bell housings also work?
 
Any advice, including where one might source a solution, will be
appreciated.
