Josh,

Sounds like a fuel starvation problem. You mention that fuel pressure is normal, but how about fuel volume? The test is somewhat simple, pull the hose off the fuel rail, let it pump for a set period of time, and measure the volume delivered against a specification. I don't know the particulars for this engine, but someone on the list should. Also change out the fuel filter, could be clogged.

ok its time to get my 74 csi out of winter hibernation and I would apprecciate any thoughts on the following problem I have had for the last year. the car has a later (1981 )3.2 liter motor with webbers. At about 4000 rpm the car starts to buck and run out of power. if I am easy on the gas I can inch it up to about 4800 rpm. the car has a new coil, changed the distributer, tried it with and without petronix, fuel pressure is normal, put in new plugs and wires, no change. I have had the car for 19 years but this is a new wrinkle. help! thanks, Josh
