[BMWCSRegistry] fumbling toward excesstasy

The better half was away in Seattle this weekend, so I went shopping --
at the U-Pull-It. Picked up an M30B35 head from an '88 e32, along with
the 60-2 wheel/harmonic balancer. Also found a '79 e23 with the pre-ABS
hydro-boost brakes, so I grabbed the booster, the valve body, and the
reservoir.
All of this is a continuation of my quest to a turbo M30. The head is
the final M30 iteration, with bigger intake valves, bigger intake ports
and bigger combustion chambers. This will go on top of the 745i block
in my garage, and I'll figure out what pistons will get me to roughly
8:1 compression. The hydro booster will let me have power brakes and
positive manifold pressure simultaneously. And the 60-2 wheel makes my
Megasquirt dreams easier to realize.
I've been assembling my intake on an old cracked head -- L-jet log, e21
runners, L-jet fuel rail. The beauty of the common turbo setups for
M30's is the go fast bits are hidden below the exhaust manifolds, so to
the average bonehead it will look very L-jet (or D-jet) under the hood.
For the record, the parts cost me $80. I loves me some U-Pull-It.
Tony
