[BMWCSRegistry] RE: Shocks and Windshield

I lost track of which e-mails started the string, but on these two recent topics:
 
1)  Bilstein shocks.  Apparently their are "sport" and "Heavy Duty (HD)".  Sport is the way to go if you also install shorter springs but this is only suitable for track racing.  I have the HD's and the stock springs and found that they ride very well yet improved handling considerably.
 
2)  I had my coupe's windshield replaced about 3 years ago by a windshield repair guy here in the DC area.  He said that he simply contacted BMW and that they had a new one in NJ which was shipped immediately, although they apparently told him that mine was the last one they had in stock.  New windshield trim and rubber seal were sourced either directly from BMW as well or from Maximillian http://www.bmwmobiletradition-online.com/ (can't remember if it was the windshield trim or the rain gutter trim pieces) but I have the good fortune of living about an hour away from their site north of Baltimore so I drove over and picked up my order.Todd
