[BMWCSRegistry] Shocks

Todd & All,
Stiff shocks (sport, I believe) may indeed improve the handling but
do put an increased load on the shock towers. Even if not visible,
some corrosion is almost inevitable and premature failure could
result.
Not pleasant to see a shock poking up into the boot at the wheel well.
Since I do not have the funds or inclination to completely renovate
Ilse to more modern standards, I have fallen back on doing lots of
proper maintenance and frequent inspection and treating her (and me)
more gently.
