[BMWCSRegistry] Source for OEM electrical wire?

One possible solution is to scavenge wire off of similarly aged German cars in the you-pick-it junk yards.  Not a perfect solution, but relatively inexpensive.

I have to replace a few parts of the underhood wiring harness that has gotten a little brittle from the heat, and I'd like to use exact replacement wire that matches the color codes, to facilitate the inevitable future troubleshooting with the circuit diagram.  Does anyone know of a source for correct stranded wire in the various gauges and color combinations, such as 2.5mm SW-RT (schwartz-rot, or black with red stripe)?
