Speaking of door components, I need to redo my interior door panels. As a rule, are the used components going to be "well used"? Am I better to try to find new parts when available?

E9 Listers, I have a contact with the actual manufacturer in Germany for BMW seals and I am working on setting up a US source for them. Right now, even with the high Euro, I believe I can supply the door seals for $375 instead of the dealer price of over $500. (are you sure that $475 is current?) Anyone interested in any E9 seals, even supposedlly NLA items, let me know what you are interested in and I will let you know when I find out for sure what the prices will be. Almost guaranteed to be below dealer wholesale..

I am two for two on this registry (canted air condition compressor and finding timing mark), so I will again call on your collective wisdom.
Is there any substitute to paying $475 for the rubber gasket for the driver's side door? Apparently, BMW had to re-manufacture the gaskets and a high price is the result.
